Tourists from all over the world come to see and experience this unique wonder of nature. It is an unusual place, which captivates with picturesque, almost majestic views and a unique phenomenon. The Dunajec River in a part of the Gorge turns its current by 180 degrees, flowing for some time in the opposite direction to the sea, to finally turn back. Such a spectacular phenomenon can be seen only in one place in the world.

The trip is diversified by the rafters’ stories about the passing peaks and interesting objects. You can also hear from them wonderful legends and get to know their specific sense of humour.

The tradition of rafting on wooden rafts made of joined dugouts dates back to the mid-19th century. Their construction has remained unchanged for over 200 years.

Rafting season lasts from 1 April to 31 October. Rafting starts at the rafting marina in Sromowce Kątyor at the Sromowce Niżne marina.
